The BFE Comeback: The Only Buttalicious Event of 2006
What can I say? As usual, it was alot of fun! We had regular supporters of our endeavor as well as new artists joining open mic! I performed, as 1/2 of Butta-Flava, despite of the fact we haven’t performed in over a year..My partner in Butta-Flava, Gazelle, was sick she couldn’t sing right but we went ahead and sang 4 tracks because we missed performing. Buttalicious Events were always done because we loved the fact that despite people putting us down, the Pinoy Hip-hop culture is still fighting, growing and relentless in its efforts to show peeps what it is truly about! I’m glad to be one of the main movers of this mission! My crew was reunited after over a year because of this year end party held at my cousin’s bar/grill in San Juan.. It was an outdoor bar that had lots of people and made our event the more exciting and worthwhile! Thanks to newcomers, Straight Arrow, West Indios Ent., MHC, Badang of Kamandag ng Marikina, Jada iLL, Slick n’ Sly Kane and Mastershock for being part of this! Sunnyblaze of Urban Flow even came to show some luv! Maldhita Ahnx & Ocherhe of BFE Fam was there doin’ what they do best! To sum it all up, the only Buttalicious Event for 2006 was worthwhile as we did our piece in front of skeptics of the music we make.. In the end, we got their attention, educated them about our culture & music, and entertained them! Pinoy Hip-hop at it’s finest last night thru edutainment (thanks,KRS-1!)! I only hope that our next event will be graced by more artists as we strive in delivering our goals and missions. Thanks to ya’ll who’s never put us down & always supported our moves thru the little gestures you do (copy-pasting our posts, word-of-mouth, texting of our events) Special thanks to Hans a.k.a Doggmatic, 1 of our member affiliates in Cincinnati who helps us out by making our little flyers. Without his help, I couldn’t have promoted that quickly. I have missed the thing I love doing and I’m back to doing it!
