What Happened on Aug.5.2005?
It was such a success beyond what we expected!:-)
First-timers of our event said they had so much fun
and were glad to have been there.
It was a gathering of true Hip-Hop heads, neophytes
and veterans alike!
It was a gathering of Tagalog and English rappers
alike!
It was a place packed with Hip-Hop and non-Hip-Hop
peeps! The non-Hip-Hop folks were so impressed
and glad to have witness such great talent in Pinoy
Hip-Hop!
Representation of the elements occured! Dj’s were
present, breakers competed and added the last
minute excitement!
The fans and walk-ins that night, including the
waiters of the club were in awe!
Different flavors of Hip-Hop were emphasized
through the different artists who performed.
We, the organizers, truly thought the event wasn’t
gonna be successful due to the hard rains and all.
WE WERE ABSOLUTELY WRONG!
The title "Hot Hip-Hop Friday" was indeed appropriate!

perform due to time constraints. So many people
came, we ran out of time, plus the club owners were
such hassles and ungreatful fools! We bring in that
much people to their club which normally don’t get
that much peeps and they kept trying to cut-off the
performances as early as 2am! Damn! It’s a
weekend!

THUG DISIPULOS from Makati won last nights
competition. All of the contestants had to perform 2
tracks, in-front of a partying and loud crowd!
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WINNER LAST
NIGHT! YOU WILL BE PART OF THE 1ST
FILIPINO HIP-HOP INDIE BALL (in the works).
The place was packed last night. We were
exhausted, hassled, but glad and proud to have been
part of something special in Pinoy Hip-Hop history!
Thanks to all the supporters of our endeavors, to all
who wrote us regarding this event and to all who re-
posted our messages on their bulletin boards. Such
little movement, when combined, is bigger than you’ll
ever imagine.
On behalf of my partner in Butta-Flava, Gazelle, and
my entire staff and crew (B.F.E.) I would like to thank
and acknowledge all participants of the event last
night. "Hot Hip-Hop Friday", August 5, 2005, was
truly another great event for Butta-Flava
